Merry Christmas everyone! It's been a busy one as usual! New pictures and new plans to follow...
Here is a quick picture from the artists and makers blog to show my ( slightly depleted) suitcase of heads at the fair. Nearly all went in the end and i had a wonderful and exhausting day talking to lots of lovely people. Thank you to everyone who came to see me and who bought a piece. It was honestly one of the best days of my year and a much needed boost!
I don't usually have the time to do craft fairs really but decided to do this one as it's really nice and festive- and very busy. Will have a suitcase of small heads for sale!
I have just delivered a box of small heads to a lovely little shop in Brixton called Brixi. ( unit 7 Brixton village )
Last few days of the exhibition at the ONCA gallery in Brighton. It's been fun- now back to work!
My first ever go at needle felting- thank you Mia for teaching us!
101 ways to help the bees! I made 100 bees plus their queen to hang from a branch. Each has a leaf attached on which I have written a way that you can help bees.
New ish large brown bear. Not made one for a while.
Need to take some better pictures really but here is my first attempt at an elephant.
One of the group of small heads I took to The End of the Road festival this year. We had an amazing time as usual and the sun shone pretty much throughout. Thank you to every one who bought an animal, we will hopefully be back again next year!
Come along to this exhibition if you are in Brighton. It's for an extremely worthwhile cause.
I will have some work here! Worth a visit if you are in the area and Erin's work is magical.
New, slightly wonky, mini heads.
The very endangered Spanish Lynx.
Grumpy walrus and polar bear.
New sailors and circus men.
Just found this book in a charity shop today, made me a bit nostalgic as i'm sure we used to have something similar. Love the illustrations. Seem to have been done with a dried up felt tip- would anyone get away with such a technique these days!?
